Client, a twenty-year-old, was charged by the Portsmouth Police Department with a DUI .15 or greater. Attorney Abilheira found serious flaws in the investigation and was able to suppress the chemical test readings. As a result, she was able to convince the prosecutor to amend the charge to Driving While Impaired, a statute reserved for minors charged with driving under the influence. This amended charge has less severe sanctions and does not result in a criminal conviction. Client can now move forward with his adult life without a criminal record.

Outcome: Amended and sealed
