Each year, Thanksgiving weekend proves to be one of busiest weekends for travel and traffic, which leads to high rates of moving violation citations and DUI arrests. The Rhode Island State Police issued a press release this morning announcing that they will be adding additional enforcement to their normal patrol efforts throughout the holiday weekend.
State troopers will be on high alert for dangerous or reckless driving, and will be practicing a zero tolerance policy for drunk and drugged driving, seat belt violations, aggressive driving, speeding, and texting while driving. Abilheira Law, LLC urges Rhode Island residents to drive safely and soberly this Holiday weekend.
Have a happy Thanksgiving and drive safe!
